DeLorean hire FAQs
How much does it cost to hire the DeLorean Time Machine?
The movie-replica Time Machine is £100 + VAT per hour with a 4-hour minimum, and hire time runs from when we leave Marlow, so travel time is included. The classic 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 is £75 + VAT per hour (3-hour minimum) and the 1968 Ford Mustang starts from £450 + VAT per day. Tell us your date and venue for an exact quote.
Where do you cover?
We're based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, and regularly cover London, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire and the rest of the Home Counties. We travel UK-wide by arrangement — the car has been as far as Edinburgh. For longer journeys we may bring it on a trailer.
What events can I hire the DeLorean for?
Weddings, proms, birthdays, corporate events, product and restaurant launches, school events, comic cons, car shows, air shows, film and TV, photo shoots and music videos.
Is it the real film car?
It's a screen-accurate replica, hand-built on a genuine DeLorean DMC-12 — with working time circuits, flux bands, smoke, lighting and film-accurate props inside and out.
Can guests sit in the car and take photos?
Yes. At private events your guests can sit in the Time Machine and take as many photos as they like. Nick stays with the car throughout to look after everyone.
Can we set the time circuits?
Yes — the time circuits are fully working, so guests can enter a destination time such as a wedding date or a birthday.
Can I drive the DeLorean?
No — it isn't self-drive. The owner always stays with the car and handles all driving and positioning.
Can you drive us to the venue?
No — we can't carry passengers. The Time Machine is there as the showpiece: it arrives at your venue, is staged for photos, and guests can sit in it while it's parked.
Is the car insured?
Yes. The Time Machine is fully insured for event hire, and every appearance is run responsibly.
