& the cast
The passenger knee pad of our Time Machine now carries seven Back to the Future signatures – co-writer and producer Bob Gale, plus Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Elizabeth Shue, Billy Zane, Harry Waters Jr and Don Fullilove. Not many DeLoreans in the world can say that.

Fan Expo New Orleans 2026
Christopher Lloyd
Doc Brown
Some moments feel like time itself pauses. Meeting Christopher Lloyd was one of them – and nothing a 36-hour round trip was going to stop.
I took the passenger knee pad from the Time Machine with me. Not a poster or a novelty item – a real part of the car, from the space where Doc and Marty imagined the impossible. He was warm, unhurried and visibly happy to see it, and he signed it with care.
Every time someone sits in that passenger seat now, they're sitting beside a piece of cinematic history. To Christopher Lloyd: thank you for Doc Brown.

Lea Thompson
Lorraine Baines McFly
Lea Thompson played Lorraine – Marty’s mum – in all three Back to the Future films, from the lovestruck 1955 teenager at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance to the 1985 mum at the dinner table.
At Liverpool Comic Con 2026 she added her signature to the knee pad, then held it up for photos with a big smile and a double thumbs-up. Marty’s mum now rides along with Doc Brown on every hire.

Elizabeth Shue
Jennifer Parker
When I walked up with the knee pad, she recognised it straight away as the passenger side of the Time Machine. Her words: “You brought the real thing.”
From The Karate Kid to Adventures in Babysitting and Back to the Future, she was everywhere in the 80s – and now her signature travels with the car to weddings, comic cons and launches across the UK.

Forbidden Planet London 2026
Bob Gale
Co-writer & producer
Without Bob Gale there would be no Back to the Future. He co-wrote all three films with Robert Zemeckis and produced the trilogy – the DeLorean, the flux capacitor and 88 mph all started on his page.
I met him at his book signing at Forbidden Planet in London, where he signed the knee pad alongside the cast. Having the man who dreamed up the Time Machine sign a piece of ours is something special.

Three more of the cast
Lea Thompson wasn’t the only one at Liverpool Comic Con 2026 – three more of the cast added their names to the knee pad.
Billy Zane, who played Match in Biff’s gang, added his signature. Harry Waters Jr – Marvin Berry, who sings “Earth Angel” at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance – signed it and held it up proudly for the camera. And Don Fullilove, Hill Valley’s future mayor Goldie Wilson, signed it too.
We also got a cast photo with Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Harry Waters Jr and Don Fullilove – a day we won’t forget.
The wishlist
Next names on the list

- Michael J. Fox – the legend himself
- Thomas F. Wilson – Biff, Griff and Buford “Mad Dog” Tannen
- Claudia Wells – the original Jennifer Parker
